She was here. She was loved. She mattered.
Winter Rose was our daughter.
She was wanted, prayed for, fought for, and loved long before we ever got to hold her.
This pregnancy was not an easy one. We knew we were walking a difficult road, and as the weeks passed, our entire world became centered around one simple hope:
Keep Winter here.
We did everything we could.
Every appointment. Every worry. Every night wondering what the next morning would bring. Every moment we were told to keep fighting, we fought.
Because she was worth fighting for.
And then, on September 12, 2026, at exactly 25 weeks pregnant, Winter Rose made her entrance into the world.
She was born at 8:54 PM.
She weighed just 12.7 ounces (350 grams) and measured 9.252 inches (23.5 centimeters) long.
She was impossibly tiny.
And she was absolutely perfect to us.
For the next few days, we got to be her mommy and daddy. We got to say her name, love her, fight for her, and treasure every moment we were given.
She gave us three precious days of being her parents outside of the dreams and hopes we had carried for her.
Three days of loving her.
Three days of learning her.
Three days of holding onto every second.
Then, on September 15, 2026, at 1:00 AM, our beautiful Winter Rose passed away.
There are no words big enough for what it feels like to leave the hospital without your baby.
The world kept moving.
But ours stopped.
Winter's time here was incredibly short.
But her life was never insignificant.
She was our daughter.
She is Dawson's little sister.
She is a granddaughter, a niece, and a little girl whose name will forever belong in our family.
She was Winter Rose.
And we will never let the world forget that she was here.
