For Families

You don't have to carry this alone.

This is a place for families navigating pregnancy loss, infant loss, grief, remembrance, and the strange days that follow. You do not have to have the right words to belong here.

A place to breathe

Grief does not follow a schedule. Some days you may want to talk. Some days you may want silence. Some days you may simply need someone to understand why a date, a song, a tiny pair of socks, or a name can stop you in your tracks.

There is no right way to grieve and no deadline for missing someone you love. You can remember loudly, quietly, privately, publicly, or differently from one day to the next.

The Winter Rose Project is meant to be a gentle place to remember without having to explain why your baby matters.

You are not alone

Pregnancy and infant loss can feel incredibly isolating. The world may continue moving while yours feels completely different.

You may be grieving a baby you held, a baby you never got to bring home, or a future you had already imagined a thousand times. However your story looks, your baby mattered. Your love matters too.

You never have to minimize your loss because someone else does not know what to say.

Ways to remember

Sometimes remembering is as simple as saying their name.

Light a candle. Plant a flower. Keep a memory box. Wear their birthstone. Write them a letter. Celebrate their birthday. Visit their memorial. Tell someone about them. Create a tradition that belongs only to your family.

There is no wrong way to remember someone you love.

🌹 Plant a RemembranceGive their name a place to bloom. Resources for the hard days

Sometimes love and community are not enough to carry everything alone. Reaching for additional support is not a failure. It is another way of caring for yourself.

We are building a carefully organized resource area for bereaved parents, partners, families, and friends. It will include grief support, pregnancy and infant loss organizations, remembrance resources, and places to find additional help.

Check back as this resource library grows.

Whether you found us yesterday or have been carrying your baby's memory for years, there is a place for you here.

You do not have to explain why you still miss them. You do not have to justify why their name still matters. You do not have to leave your love at the door.
